Who are the Horners’ horses?
Geri and Christian Horner have been building a small but impressive equine empire.
The couple also own a horse racing company called OMBI, which was set up in 2021.
Their horses have been named with a musical theme, with all of them referencing Geri’s solo career hits.
Here’s everything yo need to know…
Lift Me Up
Nine-year-old gelding Lift Me Up, named after Geri‘s 1999 hit, is the best horse in the Horners’ stable.
In 2023, he won his first race under rules at Newbury after scoring in three of four outings in point-to-point competition.
Lift Me Up broke his maiden at Mollington on May 2, 2022, winning by 15 lengths in the PPORA club members’ race.
It’s Raining Men
In 2023, the Horners acquired a new racehorse and named her It’s Raining Men.
Its moniker pays homage to the classic 1983 track by The Weather Girls, which Geri covered in 2001.
The bay filly was born in 2018 and is yet to compete in any pro races.
Look at Mee
Another horse in their stable is Look at Mee.
This black mare marked her first-ever race, though the results were not disclosed.
Born in 2018, the brown filly hasn’t competed in any pro races to date.
Mi Chico Latina
The couple also owns a horse named Mi Chico Latina.

Gerri released a single of the same name in 1999.
It debuted at No 1 on the UK Singles Chart.
Cheltenham Festival 2025
Lift Me Up is set to run in the St James’s Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival 2025.
This nine-year-old gelding has shown promising results, including a win in Warwick’s competitive Willoughby De Broke Open Hunters’ Chase in January 2025.
Jockey Jack Andrews, known as the world’s tallest jockey, will be riding Lift Me Up at the Festival.
While Christian will be in Australia for the Formula One season opener, trainer Maxine Filby will be overseeing Lift Me Up’s performance at Cheltenham.
