ITV Racing’s team includes award-winning presenters, former racers — and even an ex Love Island contestant.
Here’s everything you need to know about them:
Ed Chamberlin
Ed Chamberlin is one of the main presenters for ITV RacingGetty
Ed Chamberlin is one of ITV Racing’s primary presenters.
He first appeared on Sky Sports in 1999, working alongside Jeff Stelling on betting show The Full SP.
He then joined Sky Sports News and presented the Champions League and World Cup draws on a regular basis.
Chamberlin switched to ITV when the channel took horse racing coverage off Channel 4 in 2017.
In February 2019, Chamberlin and his co-presenter Francesca Cumani were jointly awarded the Broadcast Sports Presenter of the Year at the Sports Journalism Awards.
Francesca Cumani

Francesca Cumani comes from a racing background, being the daughter of trainer Luca Cumani.
Her career in racing broadcasting began as a guest presenter for Australia’s Channel 7, which led to a permanent role with CNN fronting their racing show Winning Post.
Francesca joined ITV in 2016 and has hosted the channel’s horse racing coverage ever since.
Megan Nicholls

Megan Nicholls is a former flat racing jockey.
Growing up at Manor Farm Stables in Ditcheat, she is the daughter of renowned trainer Paul Nicholls.
She began her riding career in Point-to-Points before transitioning to flat racing, where she achieved notable success with 110 winners.
Megan retired from professional riding in 2022 to focus on her media career.
Sir AP McCoy
PAAP McCoy is an anylist for ITV Racing[/caption]
Sir Anthony Peter McCoy, commonly known as AP McCoy, is a retired Northern Irish jump jockey.
He had an illustrious career spanning over 20 years, during which he was named Champion Jockey a record 20 consecutive times.
He retired in 2015 with 4,358 wins, including the Grand National and Cheltenham Gold Cup.
McCoy was knighted in 2016 for his services to horse racing.
These days he brings his vast experience and insights to ITV Racing as an analyst.
Chris Hughes

Chris Hughes gained fame as a contestant on the reality TV show Love Island in 2017.
A passionate racing fan, he joined ITV Racing as their Social Stable reporter, focusing on engaging younger audiences through social media content.
He brings a fresh perspective to racing coverage and helps bridge the gap between traditional racing fans and younger audiences.
Oli Bell
Oli Bell is the presenter of ITV Racing’s The Opening ShowRex
Oli Bell joined the ITV Sport team in January 2017 and has become one of the channel’s key horse racing presenters.
He fronts the Saturday morning magazine The Opening Show and serves as a relief presenter and reporter for other racing coverage.
He was in a relationship with Francesca Cumani, but they broke up after two years in 2020.
Ruby Walsh

Ruby Walsh is an Irish former jockey.
He is widely regarded as one of the greatest jump jockeys of all time.
Walsh retired in 2019 with an impressive record of 2,756 winners and 59 Cheltenham Festival victories.
He won the Irish jump racing Champion Jockey title 12 times.
The all-time great also won the Grand National twice — he won it at his first attempt in 2000 riding Papillon, and then in 2005 on Hedgehunter.
After retirement, Walsh transitioned into media roles and joined ITV Racing as an analyst — he provides expert commentary and insights.
Jason Weaver

Jason Charles Weaver is a former British flat racing jockey.
During his 14-year career, he rode over 1,000 winners and achieved the rare feat of riding 200 winners in a single season in 1994.
He won several classic races, including the 2000 Guineas on Mister Baileys in 1994.
After retiring as a jockey in 2002 due to weight issues, Weaver transitioned into broadcasting.
He now works as a pundit for ITV Racing and as a presenter for Sky Sports Racing.
Matt Chapman

Matt Chapman is known for his energetic and sometimes controversial style as ITV Racing’s betting reporter.
He provides odds updates and betting insights during race coverage.

Matt also writes for The Sun — he’s our man in the know with all the latest from the winner’s enclosure.
Richard Hoiles
