Who is Ryan Searle?
Ryan Searle was born on October 21, 1987, in Wellington, Somerset.
He has become one of the most recognisable faces in professional darts — and not just because of his unorthodox appearance.
Ryan is known by the nickname “Heavy Metal” due to his rockstar hair, powerful throw and musical preferences.

Early career
Before his professional darts career, Ryan worked as a window cleaner.
His journey into professional darts began humbly, starting in local leagues and attending professional tournaments as a spectator.

Ryan said: “I went to the Premier League Darts in Exeter as a spectator.
“I had just started playing in my local league, and I joked that one day I’d be on that stage competing with the best players in the world.”
Ryan’s breakthrough came with two Challenge Tour victories in 2016, earning him a Tour Card for the 2017 PDC campaign.
