On July 17, 1971, John Walsh married Revé Drew in a Florida wedding ceremony.
Both John and Revé are advocates for missing children.
The couple has spoken out several times to raise awareness for the missing children’s movement.
On June 13, 1984, they partnered with Ronald Reagan and co-founded the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
John and Revé’s advocacy is inspired by their own experiences.
Specifically, their six-year-old son Adam’s abduction from a Florida shopping mall on July 27, 1981.
In July 2002, John and Revé briefly split as the latter filed for divorce and filed for sole custody of their children.
By August 2003, the pair withdrew their divorce petitions and reconciled.
