Lady Camilla Bloch KC was born on June 30, 1970.

She is the youngest child of John Bingham and Veronica.

The high-flying barrister studied at Balliol College, Oxford, and was appointed as a Queen’s Counsel in 2013.

She is a barrister who specialises in corporate and commercial law.

Camilla married Michael Bloch KC at St Peter’s Church, Eton Square.

Their three-page boys even wore court dress and barrister’s wigs at the wedding.

Lady Camilla gave birth to her first child in March 2002 and has four sons in total.

When her mother died in 2017, Camilla received none of her mother’s immense fortune.

Instead, the then-Lady Lucan wanted all of her money to go to the Shelter charity.

She said that this was because of her children’s “lack of good manners” and she even claimed to have been on bad terms with them since the 1980s.

Lady Camilla’s brother George said: “I applaud the decision”.

Lady Camilla’s killer father

Camilla’s father was Richard John Bingham, 7th Earl of Lucan, who was known for his lavish lifestyle.

He was an avid gambler, which earned him the nickname Lucky Lucan though this soon became an ironic nickname thanks to a string of heavy losses.

His dashing good looks made him a contender to play James Bond in a 007 movie.

Lucan married a model named Veronica Duncan in 1963 and the couple went on to have three children.

Veronica gave birth to Lady Frances Bingham in 1964, Lord George Charles Bingahm in 1967 and Lady Camilla in 1970.

Her marriage eventually ended in 1973 and years later she claimed that the 7th Earl of Lucan was abusive.

On November 7, 1974, Veronica ran into a pub near to her West London home and claimed that she had been attacked by her ex-husband.

An investigation by the police uncovered that he had also murdered the family’s nanny, Sandra Rivett, and hidden her in a sack.

That night, Lord Lucan fled to the home of his friends Susan and Ian Maxwell-Scott.

Susan, who has insisted that Lucan was innocent despite an inquest finding that he committed the murder, was the last person to see Lord Lucan alive.

He vanished the next morning.

There are many theories as to where Lucan went, including claims that he fled to Mozambique and suggestions that he might have taken his own life.

His title passed onto Camilla’s brother in 2016, when Lucan was declared dead.

Lucan: The documentary

John Bingham’s crime is detailed in the BBC’s documentary series Lucan.

The three-part series kicked off on November 6, 2024, and follows the efforts of Neil Berriman, Sandra Rivett’s son, to uncover where Lord Lucan escaped to.

Neil didn’t know that he was the son of the murdered nanny until he turned 40, because he had been given up for adoption.
