Itauma has already featured on major undercards such as Tyson Fury’s mouthwatering rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
And he’ll get the opportunity to showcase his skills once again when he takes on British compatriot Dillian Whyte at the top of a sensational Saudi bill.
But the talented boxer wouldn’t be able to get to this position without his trainer, and SunSport can reveal who the genius is, along with his corner team.
Who is Moses Itauma’s trainer?
Moses Itauma‘s trainer is the highly experienced Ben Davison.
Born on November 29, 1992, Ben Davison is a professional boxing coach who has worked with some of the top names in the sport.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Davison also took up amateur boxing at a young age but switched it out for a semi-professional football career.
However, he formed a long-term friendship with world champion Billy Joe Saunders and that led to Ben’s introduction to the boxing coaching scene.
Ben trained Saunders, Tom Little, Ashley Sexton and Michael Maguire all in 2017.
But his name began to ring bells when he single-handedly helped a certain Tyson Fury shed over 100lbs to earn a hard-fought draw with American machine Deontay Wilder in 2018.
And Davison’s training career propelled even further when he coached the face of British boxing, Anthony Joshua ahead of his dominant 2023 Otto Wallin win.
By 2024, Davison had worked with former undisputed light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor, world featherweight champion Leigh Wood and WBA interim heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley.
