Who is Neil Robertson’s wife Mille?
Mille Robertson (née Fjelldal) is the wife of Australian professional snooker player Neil Robertson.
She hails from Norway and is known for her resilience and strength.
Mille has been by Neil’s side through both personal and professional challenges, playing an essential role in his journey as one of snooker’s top players.
Relationship timeline
Mille and Neil have been together since 2008.
During this time, they have built a strong family unit, welcoming two children: Alexander, born in 2010, and Penelope, who followed in 2019.
They got married in a romantic ceremony in London on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Mental health struggles
Mille has faced significant challenges with mental health over the years.
In 2017, her struggles impacted the couple’s lives, as Neil reduced his snooker practice to be there for her during her recovery.
He even withdrew from major tournaments including the Masters — which he missed for the first time in ten years — to prioritise Mille’s wellbeing.
Neil has openly discussed their experiences of attending counselling sessions together, helping him to understand her condition and provide the support she needed.
As of April 2025, Mille is also celebrating seven years of sobriety.
Her decision to stop drinking alcohol was closely tied to addressing her struggles with anxiety and depression.
Back in 2020, Neil told Eurosport: “What Tyson Fury did a year or so ago, when he did that documentary where he discussed his issues with mental health, his anxiety and depression, watching that I felt as though I was watching Mille talk; he was talking about the exact same thing, more or less.
We need to normalise the conversation around mental health and alcohol/substance use, as they are so closely correlated

“She wasn’t substance abusing with drugs, but with anxiety one of the big things people do is drink alcohol to try and settle it down, and that is what Mille was doing, which was very tough for me to try and juggle that and try and be one of the best snooker players in the world.
He added: “It took two or three years to actually work out what was going on — what is anxiety?
“First of all, learning that Mille did have anxiety, then working out what it is and how to treat it.
“So we went through some really tough times, especially when I was away for long periods of time.

“There was a time when I was only practising 45 minutes a day, that’s all I could really manage before I came home to help her through the day.”
Mille’s achievements
Despite her battles with mental health, Mille has achieved some remarkable milestones.
Neil frequently celebrates her accomplishments on social media, including her sobriety and educational achievements.

In 2017, she became a Master of Philosophy, completing a postgraduate degree in criminological research at Cambridge University.
She has since gone on to pursue a PhD at the International Policing and Public Protection Research Institute.
In January 2024, Neil wrote on Instagram: “Mille my beautiful wife is 6 years sober today! Unbelievably proud of her.
“Finishing a masters degree at Cambridge University, having our daughter Penelope and now doing her PHD since then.
“We need to normalise the conversation around mental health and alcohol/substance use, as they are so closely correlated.
“Don’t be afraid to reach out to loved ones, you would be surprised what people would do to help.”
