ANTOINE DUPONT will NOT feature for France or Toulouse for the foreseeable future in a massive moment in the race for the Six Nations.

Dupont has helped guide France towards a first Six Nations title since 2022 on his return to the competition.

The French sensation plays as a scrum-half, otherwise known as a number 9, for both France and Toulouse, and is the national team captain.

During the Six Nations 2025, Dupont has provided seven try assists, the most of any player during the tournament.

The blow of his absence will be softened by the emergence of Louis Bielle-Bairrey as one of the biggest players on the international scene in this tournament.

The Union Bourdeaux-Begles winger has scored seven tries, assisted four tries and is the fourth highest scorer at the tournament.

Dupont’s importance on this side was reflected perfectly at Twickenham, with the Toulouse scrum-half having an off day, which lead to England beating the French.

France will be champions if they can beat Scotland, even without a bonus point, thanks to their huge points difference in the tournament.

SunSport can reveal why Dupont is not playing for France.

Why is Antoine Dupont not playing for France?

Antoine Dupont picked up a cruciate ligament injury against Ireland that will likely see him out until at least the end of the season.

While France have it all in their own hands in the Six Nations, the injury has come at a crucial part of the season for his club side Toulouse.

Toulouse are locked in a tense battle with fellow French side Union Bordeaux-Begles for both the Top 14 league title and in the Champions Cup.

The pair will face off in the quarter-final of the Champions Cup if they can beat Sale Sharks and Ullster respectively.

Union Bordeaux-Begles boast the likes of Damien Penaud, Louis Bielle-Biarrey, Matthieu Jalibert, Maxime Lucu and Yoram Moefana to name a few.

The loss of Dupont will be a detrimental blow to Toulouse as they aim to win a seventh Champions Cup.
