THIS is the wild moment a woman screamed at fellow tourists after accusing them of “stealing” her sunbed at a pool in Tenerife.

The dramatic scene, filmed at a resort on the popular Canary island, is the latest in a long line of summer “sunbed wars”.

The video shows a woman, wearing a red top and dark shorts, furiously grabbing her bag from the sunbed before pointing and confronting a group of tourists who had supposedly taken her spot.

She then walks around the pool, continuing to shout at another holidaymaker, who is enjoying a swim.

So-called “sunbed wars” are a common headache at holiday resorts, with tourists resorting to various tactics to secure prime poolside spots.

One such method involves getting up at dawn to place towels on sunbeds and “reserve” them.

Guest Louise Smith was stunned to see tourists queuing up at 7.30am to grab their favourite sunbed spots at the hotel used for filming the iconic ITV show Benidorm in May.

She filmed the bizarre scene from her hotel balcony, where people began lining up even before the sunbeds were laid out.

“I think it’s ridiculous. You go on holiday to relax, not to wake up super early to claim a sunbed,” she told Luxury Travel Daily.

Meanwhile, in Playa de la Americas, some tourists were even branded “miserable” for waiting by the pool before the sunbeds were laid out.

A TikTok video posted by @holidaybestbits in February showed at least six holidaymakers standing by the empty pool, bags in hand, waiting for staff to give the green light.

One even had three towels spread out on the floor where the sunbeds would eventually be placed.

The video’s caption read: “It comes to something when you reserve your sunbed spot by standing in the location you want.

“Reserving your sunbeds to a whole new level.”

Meanwhile, in Egypt, one woman revealed she had to wake up at 6.30am just to secure a good sunbed.

The TikToker, who goes by the username @themrsmayofficial, was on holiday with her three children.

She filmed her morning struggle as she explained how she set her alarm early to stake her claim on a lounger.

But when Mrs. May arrived, she found other guests had already placed towels to reserve spots along the front row.

After a frustrating search, she had no choice but to settle for a spot in the back row.

She said: “I’m kind of annoyed that this happens actually, in some hotels they move them, they just get rid of them – I’m very tempted.”
