KAMALA Harris’ former communications director has published a wild scheme to make her president despite her crushing election loss.
Jamal Simmons, who worked for the Vice President’s office in 2022, has publicly plotted how his former boss could still lead the nation.

CNNSimmons made the pitch on CNN on Sunday[/caption]
The political pundit says President Joe Biden should resign and let Harris take the reins for the 70 days until January 20.
He posted on X: “Joe Biden has been amazing but he should fulfill one last promise – to be transitional. Biden should resign and make Kamala Harris the first woman president.
“It’d turn tables on Trump, keep Kamala from presiding over Jan 6 make it easier for next woman to run.”
Simmons also said that with Trump’s victory his political party needed to begin to think outside of the box.
He continued: “Dems have better policies but we must realize the old rules no longer apply.
“We are not playing table tennis. We are in a mixed martial arts fight and Americans respond to drama and excitement.
“We should use that to make our arguments for a better path forward.”
Simmons, now a CNN commentator, made a similar plea while appearing on State of the Nation with Dana Bash on Sunday.

CNNSimmons said the plan would ruin all of Trump’s merchandise[/caption]
He reiterated to Bash that Biden should fulfil his promise of passing the torch to the next generation.
He said: “He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, make Kamala Harris the president of the United States. It would absolve her from having to oversee the January 6 transition – of her own defeat.”
He told the show the plan would “dominate the news at a point where Democrats have to learn drama and transparency and doing things that the public wanna see is the time.
“This is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate.”
One panellist on the show was shocked at the suggestion and said Simmons was writing the next season of House of Cards.
Simmons said his scheme would ruin all of Trump’s merchandise which often has the number 47 displayed.

Biden resigning would make Harris the 47th president and Trump the 48th when he takes office in January.
People on X responded to Simmons’plot with shock and incredulity.
One said: “Steal the “First Woman President” title from the woman who actually earns it.”
Another posted: “You obviously care nothing about democracy. She lost, popular vote & electoral college. But yet you want her to defy the vote & become president? Do elections not matter to you?
“Making someone who lost president just for the sake of doing it is what happens in dictatorships.”
While a third commented: “Yes, reducing America’s first female President to a cheap publicity stunt will really endear the Democrats to the electorate that just voted them out of power.”
AlamyBiden stepped aside from running for president and endorsed Harris[/caption]
It would not be the first time Biden has stepped aside for Harris or helped her career.
The 81-year-old chose her as his VP nominee when he won the nomination in 2020 and then stood aside for her to run as president earlier this year.
Simmons’ scheme is the latest of a number of suggestions floating around – as Democrats conduct an election loss postmortem.
The party is now raging at the Harris campaign’s use of celebrities – who appeared out of touch in a tough economic environment.
She was slammed as being “out of touch” by a former Obama aide for wheeling out her millionaire celebrity pals to perform on the final campaign day.
The distraught Dems have turned on George Clooney after the actor requested Joe Biden resign before Trump’s election triumph.
Clooney, a lifelong Democrat, has been heavily criticized for his influence during the election.
Kamala Harris concession speech excerpt
Harris spoke to a teary-eyed crowd on Wednesday, November 6, hours after the 2024 presidential race was called for Donald Trump.
An excerpt of her speech posted to her Instagram reads:
“My heart is full today—full of gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, full of love for our country, and full of resolve.
“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted or what we fought for, but hear me when I say: The light of America’s promise will always burn bright—as long as we never give up, and as long as we keep fighting.
“There is an adage: Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars. I know many people feel like we are entering a dark time. For the benefit of us all, I hope that is not the case. But, America, if it is: Let us fill the sky with the light of a billion brilliant stars.
“May the light of optimism, faith, truth, and service guide us—even in the face of setbacks—toward the extraordinary promise of the United States of America.”
