ONE of the most dramatic transfer sagas in Premier League history is set to conclude on deadline day.
According to reports, Alexander Isak will join Liverpool for a fee of £130million, a new record for British football.

The 25-year-old has been on strike at Newcastle in an attempt to force through a move to Anfield and it seems he will get his way just hours before the window closes.
But how will this seismic transfer affect Dream Team?
Isak (£6.5m) racked up 340 points in 2024/25, a total only bettered by three players, a tremendous effort given the Magpies were not active in Europe.
The fact he is yet to play a single minute this season is a great shame as there is a sense among managers that substantial points are going unclaimed.
And the prospect of adding Isak’s goalscoring pedigree to Liverpool’s potent attacking unit is a mouthwatering one.

Arne Slot’s side are top of the table at the international break as the only Premier League outfit to win their first three league games of the new campaign.
The Reds are also the leading scorers in the top flight at this embryonic stage having scored eight goals.
Put simply, it’s difficult to imagine a world in which Isak struggles for goals.
However, the Swedish striker’s arrival will have ramifications that might cause issues for more than a few Dream Team bosses.
Both Hugo Ekitike (£5.5m) and Cody Gakpo (£5m) have started well this season but one will surely have to make way for Isak — Mohamed Salah (£7.5m) has all the credit in the world on the right side of the front three.

Having such depth will be an enormous benefit for Slot but Dream Team managers like starting line-ups to be as predictable as possible.
If Ekitike and Gakpo – who are both among the top seven forwards in the game right now having banked 24 and 23 points respectively – start sharing minutes then neither will be the strong options they have looked across the first three Gameweeks.
Or might we see them compete for minutes with Florian Wirtz (£5.7m) at No10 in certain fixtures?
All signs point to plentiful points from Liverpool’s attack this season but there’s a danger many gaffers will back the wrong horse.
Annoyingly, there’s no time to wait and see how Slot will juggle his troops because Gameweek 4 is begging to be targeted.
Liverpool are due to face Burnley at Turf Moor before starting their Champions League campaign at home to Atletico Madrid three days later.

The reigning champions’ first double Gameweek of the season should be a point of focus for managers, particularly so as it includes a game against a newly-promoted club.
Isak currently features in 2.2% of teams but that figure will rocket over the international break if his transfer to Liverpool is confirmed today.
As for Newcastle, they have already acquired the services of target man Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart and there’s every chance Yoane Wissa (£4.5m) joins from Brentford in the coming hours.
Eddie Howe’s side will host Wolves (bottom of the league) and Barcelona in Gameweek 4.
