Kerkez pulled the shirt of Cunha, who reacted by lashing out, pushing and then kicking his opponent – before appearing to HEADBUTT him.
Wolves’ dugout team were then forced to restrain their Brazilian star as he seemingly suffered a total loss of self-control.
Ex-England keeper Rob Green told the BBC: “Outrageous behaviour from Matheus Cunha.
“He is trying to remonstrate with the fourth officials. It will be a lengthy suspension, you can’t do that.”
Cunha had cancelled out Evanilson’s opener on the hour in a 1-1 draw, before Bournemouth triumphed 5-4 on penalties.
The 25-year-old has been linked to a big-money move in the summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly keen.
And one fan reckoned the “consequences of such a shameful sending-off could be “huge” for the 25-year-old.
He wrote: “I’m not thinking this season. (Arne) Slot had eyes on him, will he still go for such a hothead?”
