The horror came seven months after Simon Levy allegedly raped and strangled a second woman.
Levy appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today accused of murdering Sheryl.
The 40-year-old is also charged with grievous bodily harm, rape and intentional suffocation relating to the second woman.
JPs allowed Levy to wear sunglasses during the brief hearing as he is blind in one eye.
Levy was remanded into custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Sheryl was discovered on the High Road in Tottenham at around 7.30am.
She tragically couldn’t be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
The Met confirmed that while under arrest over Sheryl’s death, Levy was further arrested on suspicion of two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm and intentional strangulation relating to another victim.
That woman, aged 35, is currently receiving support from specialist officers.
Police said the alleged incident also took place in Tottenham but on January 25.
Anyone with information has been asked to call police on 101, quoting 1721/24AUG.
