Woman in early twenties ‘sexually assaulted at ticket barriers in London Underground station’ as cops issue CCTV of man

A WOMAN in her early 20s was allegedly sexually assaulted near the ticket barriers of a Tube station.

Detectives released a CCTV image of a man in a black and red jumper wearing a rucksackfollowing the ordeal at Farringdon station in London.

On Thursday, June 12, at around 9.50pm, a woman in her early twenties was stood near the Tube barrier with a friend.

Cops said a man sexually assaulted her and then made kiss gestures towards her.

Detectives believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 739 of 12 June.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
