Woman in her 30s arrested after two men found dead at Hartlepool home as cops launch double murder probe

TWO men have been found dead at a property – with cops arresting a woman.

Police have launched a double murder probe following the horrifying find of the bodies on Friday.

Emergency services raced to the address in Eaglesfield Road, Hartlepool, Teeside, after reports of a “serious incident”.

Despite best efforts, both men were declared dead at the scene – which is understood to be a ground floor flat.

A woman, in her 30s, was arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released on bail.

It is not yet known how the two men died.

Cleveland Police said their families have been informed and are being supported.

The force said: “Police were called to a property on Eaglesfield Road in Hartlepool around 11.40pm on Friday, March 15, where sadly the bodies of two males were located.

“Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

“Family members of the men have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

“Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.

“A woman aged in her thirties has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has now been bailed whilst enquiries continue.

“Police are carrying out high visibility reassurance patrols in the area and these will continue over the coming days.”
