A WOMAN proposed to her fiancée using a Cornish pasty with the words “Marry Me?” baked on it.
The proposal was written in pastry letters and stuck on to a £9 pie called the Gurt Licker.

A customer identified only as Charlotte ordered a cheese one from Ann’s Pasties in Lizard, Cornwall, and used it to propose to her girlfriend Kirsty.
The couple, from Bristol, later contacted the shop to say thank you.
The shop’s Fergus Muller said: “People have been putting things on our pasties like ‘you’re a star’ or birthday numbers but then we did this one saying ‘marry me?’.
“We needed to make sure this one was going to get the yes.
“One of our guys did a fantastic job writing on it really neatly.
“We had a comment back from them and it was a ‘yes’. We were all very happy to hear that.
“It was just a really nice use of our pasty, probably one of the best.
“I think it was just at the right time when people have been struggling financially and it’s been a real pick-me-up.”
The Gurt Licker is the size of two large pasties.
The meat one uses 8oz of Cornish steak but they also come in all-cheese or vegan versions.
They are sent in a special gift box with a hand-written message.
