Woman sexually assaulted inside TK Maxx by man who ‘grabbed her buttocks’ – as suspect, 33, arrested

THE victim of a sexual assault has been urged to come forward and make a report after cops arrested a man in connection with the incident.

The alleged assault occurred in a TK Maxx store on Northgate Street, Gloucester on Tuesday, July 29.

Officers have now urged the victim to come forward after it was alleged that a man grabbed a woman’s buttocks in the shop.

Police were made aware of the incident after the woman and her pal told the store manager of the assault and he reported it to cops.

Gloucestershire Police raced to the TK Maxx and, after speaking with staff members, arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident.

The alleged attacker was nabbed by officers as he tried to leave the scene.

He has since been released on bail while police continue to probe the assault.

The woman and her friend left the store before officers could collect any details from them.

Police are now urging the two women to come forward and make a statement after they were unable to trace them through CCTV.

One of the two women who reported the assault to the store manager is described as being in her 20s, with blonde hair and was wearing black clothing.

The other woman is described as being in her 30s, with black hair and was wearing an orange top.

Officers have asked anyone who may know the women to contact Gloucestershire Police through the website, quoting incident 352 of 29 July.
