Woman ‘sexually assaulted’ on bus between popular racecourse & train station

A WOMAN has allegedly been sexually assaulted on a bus travelling between a busy UK racecourse and a train station.

The attack is alleged to have occurred on a First bus in York on Wednesday, August 20.

A man, travelling on the bus with a group of four or five other men, is said to have sexually assaulted the woman.

Officers launched an investigation into the horror incident and are now appealing for witnesses.

Anyone who was travelling from York races to York train station at around 7pm who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police.

North Yorkshire Police is keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured.

The force believe he may have information that will assist their investigation.

North Yorkshire Police said: “Please contact us if you recognise the man pictured on CCTV, as he may have information that will assist our investigation.
