A WOMAN suffered horrific injuries after hurtling 40mph down a waterslide at Disney World and getting a “wedgie so bad she was gushing blood”.
Emma McGuinness is suing the Florida-based theme park for over £40,000 following the grisly incident, a lawsuit alleges.

McGuinness claims she got such a severe ‘wedgie’ that ‘ blood began rushing from between her legs’
The woman had been celebrating her 30th birthday at Disney World in 2019 when she decided to go down the Humunga Kowabunga waterslide located in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon waterpark.
The slide reportedly stands at a whopping height of 214ft above the pool.
But the seemingly innocent activity took a horrific turn, as she claims hitting a pool of water at the bottom at a speed of 40mph caused her severe injuries.
The lawsuit states: “The impact of The Slide and her impact into the standing water at the bottom of The Slide caused Ms. McGuinness’ clothing to be painfully forced between her legs and for water to be violently forced inside her.
“She experienced immediate and severe pain internally and, as she stood up, blood began rushing from between her legs,” it continues.
The female thrillseeker was then dashed to a local hospital by ambulance for medical care and treatment before being sent to another hospital “for the repair of her gynecologic injuries by a specialist”.
The lawsuit highlighted that “The Slide” carries specific risks whether riders cross their legs or not that Disney should have been aware of – but allegedly did not disclose to guests.
The documents say that when a rider of “The Slide” reaches the pool at the bottom, the sheer force of water can push loose-fitting garments into a person’s anatomy – a “wedgie”.
The case also explains that due to a woman’s anatomy, wedgies can be far more “serious” for them than men.
Exhibit A in the lawsuit filed by Alan Wagner, McGuinness’ lawyer, showed a photo of a full-coverage one-piece swimming costume similar to the one she was wearing when the horror “wedgie” took place.
According to the complaint, Mcguinness suffered “severe and permanent bodily injury including severe vaginal lacerations, a full thickness laceration causing Plaintiff’s bowel to protrude through her abdominal wall, and damage to her internal organs”.
It comes after Disney World was sued in 2019 by four guests who fell “extremely sick” and needed several trips to the hospital after eating lettuce wraps crawling with live insects.
The lawsuit from the case stated: “After consuming multiple lettuce wraps, [Brittany Walker Figueroa] felt something crawling inside of her mouth and removed what appeared to be a small green object that had legs and was moving.”
In 2020, a 69-year-old great-grandmother sued The Walt Disney Company, and the Orange County Sheriff for millions after she was “wrongly arrested” for possession of CBD oil in 2019.
And in 2018, a worker almost died near Disney World in Florida after slipping over and falling into a vat of oil.
Authorities say a 61-year-old was emptying oil and grease from a tractor-trailer with a co-worker at the Energy Garden plant in Orlando before the tragic accident took place.
