Woman who died after ‘attack’ at Scots home named as man charged over death

A WOMAN who died after an alleged attack at a Scots home has been named.

Ndata Bobb, 43, lost her life after the alleged incident on Restalrig Avenue in Edinburgh in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a home around 1am to reports of a disturbance.

Ndata was blue-lighted to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after being found injured.

Tragically, she died at the hospital short time later.

A 55-year-old man who was taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston after the alleged incident has since been arrested and charged over Ndata’s death.

He is set to appear in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow.

Tributes have been paid to Ndata after the tragedy.

One person said: “May your beautiful soul rest in peace Ndata. This is very very sad.”

Another added: “She was a wonderful beautiful woman. I am still in great shock. She will be truly missed.”

A major probe was launched into Ndata’s death.

Restalrig Avenue was sealed off by cops on Thursday morning.

Detectives say they are not investigating anyone else over the tragedy but their probe is still ongoing.

Detective Inspector Kevin Tait said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Ndata at this extremely difficult time.

“Our investigation remains ongoing, however we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Ndata’s death.

“This is a shocking incident and I would urge anyone with any concerns, or information, to contact police.”
