THE Women’s Rugby World Cup is HERE – and is set to take England by storm this summer!

The Red Roses will look to win a first title since 2014 on home soil after finishing runners-up for the last two tournaments.

However, they will face stiff competition from New Zealand, who have won two titles in-a-row.

The Black Fern are the most successful team in Women’s Rugby World Cup history, having won a staggering six of the nine tournaments played so far.

Stars such as the World Player of the Year Ellie Kildunne and online sensation Ilona Maher will be just some of the names on show in this HUGE tournament!

When is the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025?

The tournament is set to run from Friday, August 22 until Sunday, September 27.

The group stage will start with England vs USA at the Stadium of Light on August 22, and conclude with France vs South Africa on September 7.

The knockout stages will start on September 13 as the Pool C winner and Pool D runner-up meet at Exeter Chiefs’ Sandy Park.

The semi-finals will take place on Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20 at Bristol Bears’ Ashton Gate.

The final and third place play-off will both take place on Saturday, September 27, with the third place play-off kicking-off at 12:30pm BST, and the final at 4pm BST.

Games featuring England, Wales, Scotland & Ireland will be shown on either BBC One or BBC Two.

All the other Pool fixtures will be shown on the BBC iPlayer.

Knockout fixtures will ALL be shown on either BBC One or BBC Two, with the final being shown on BBC One.

Which stadiums will be hosting Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 games?

The Stadium of Light in Sunderland will host the opening clash between England and USA.

The Salford Community Stadium and the York Community Stadium will host selected group stage games.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s stadium will also host two fixtures, with the last Rugby World Cup in England in 2015 seeing Japan beat South Africa in a massive upset in Brighton.

Northampton Saints/Loughborough Lightning’s Franklin’s Gardens and Exeter Chiefs’ Sandy Park will host fixtures, with the Premiership season set to get going a few weeks removed from the tournament.
