THE 2025 World Snooker Championship is here as the very best cueists on the planet come together for the richest tournament in the calendar.

The Crucible will once again host the prestigious event, which has been running since 1927 and never fails to deliver drama.

Last year, Kyren Wilson lifted the iconic trophy for the first time after the Kettering cueist beat surprise package Jak Jones 18-14 in a thrilling final.

Seven-time Crucible winner Ronnie O’Sullivan will also make his highly anticipated return to the table after featuring in just one tournament this year.

World No1 Judd Trump will be many people’s pick for the title as he looks to add to his sole World Championship triumph, which came in 2019.

Players will be extra motivated to take the Crucible crown with the colossal prize money on offer.

How to watch the World Snooker Championship

The World Snooker Championship begins on Saturday, April 19 and ends on Monday, May 5.

BBC will air the event across BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four.

The BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport app/website will provide fans with coverage of every ball that is potted from the opening round to the final.

TNT Sports and discovery+ will also be airing the World Snooker Championship, but you must have a subscription to watch their service.
