SWITZERLAND star Alisha Lehmann has been given a personal bodyguard during the Women’s Euros following vile online trolling.
Lehmann, 26, is one of women’s football‘s most high-profile players off the pitch and has gained unprecedented popularity in recent times.

The Juventus forward is part of Switzerland‘s squad at the tournament, which is being played in their home country, but has played just nine minutes of action so far as the Swiss booked their spot in the quarter-finals.
Despite having little impact on the pitch so far, Lehmann is causing a stir off it as her 16.8million Instagram followers try and catch a glimpse of her.
Sven Micosse, a press spokesperson for the Swiss women’s national team, has revealed that private security has been hired as a result.
Speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Micosse said: “We always ensure that the safety of the players is our top priority in all stadiums.
“This is organized by UEFA during the tournament, and our head of security is always on site.
“After the matches, he is always there when the players approach the fans, and due to Alisha Lehmann’s fame, he sometimes accompanies them a little further.”
Bild have reported that Lehmann is often seen near a “man in a suit” that focuses on her safety.
Lehmann, who has been dubbed ‘the world’s sexiest footballer’, has unfortunately been subject to abuse as a result of her rising profile.
The former Aston Villa star has been criticised for “over-the-top” celebrations during Juventus’ title-winning jubilation this season – with fans pointing to her limited involvement in the success.
Lehmann played just 37 minuted for Juve since the turn of the year.
Other abuse towards the social media star and pro footballer has come following her lack of involvement with the Swiss national team during the Euros.
Lehmann, who was called up to the squad on late notice following an injury to FC Koln midfielder Alena Bienz, has been unfairly targeted for her lack of involvement in the tournament.
