The 45-year-old who moved to the area three years ago is believed to have been last seen on February 22 in a local parking garage.
He was set to go on a blind date, but it is unknown if the pair ever met before he vanished.
His father, Dutch Freiberger believes foul play is involved after a close friend went to Marcus’ apartment and found that he had left his two-year-old puppy Thomas there.
He told NBC affiliate, KPNX-TV: “Marcus loves [him] to death and he would never leave Thomas behind.
“That’s when his friend got really worried about it and thought something’s up here because Marcus would never leave that dog.
“There’s no reason what so ever that he would have disappeared. Taht makes me really think there’s more going on here, more like foul play of some sort.”
Dutch explained how he last heard from Marcus on February 21 and fears were sparked when the yoga instructor stopped calling his parents.
“Typically, Marcus would call his mom and he loves to FaceTime and he’d call her a couple three days apart and then all of a sudden the calls stopped coming in,” he said.
“He wouldn’t just go in the dark and not tell anybody.
“Handsome, young, ambitious. Heavily loved and liked.”
Cops are investigating the case but they told the local news outlet that there is nothing to suggest he is in imminent danger.
However, his family and friends disagree and have been desperately trying to find Marcus by launching their own investigation.
They have even been looking at jail records and in morgues for any sign of him.
“We just can’t come up with anything,” his father said.

“We just want him back home safe or at least somebody tell us they’ve seen him or where he’s at.
“We just want to know he’s still alive.”

A missing person’s poster describes him as six foot tall, weighing 225lbs with dark hair and brown eyes.
