FRANKIE DETTORI will bid farewell to British racing on Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday.
The Italian icon announced a shock retirement U-turn on October 12 as he looks to continue his illustrious career in the US from next year.

Speaking in a short video on Twitter, he said: “Hi everyone, it’s Frankie here. I’m in London for British Champions Day which will be my last one I had in England.
“But a scoop for you guys, I’ve decided to prolong my career, I’m going to go to the United States from next year.
“Keep on following me.”
Dettori‘s final race in Britain comes on Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday, October 21.

Frankie Dettori will have a number of winning hopes on Champions Day at Ascot.
He kicks off his British farewell by riding outsider Trawlerman in the 1.15 Long Distance Cup.
The 52-year-old will then take to the saddle to ride 2022 winner Kinross as he looks to triumph in the Champions Sprint for a second year running.
In the 2.25 Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes, Dettori will be on George Strawbridge’s 5-year-old Bay Mare, Free Wind.
He later partners 2,000 Guineas victor Chaldean in the 3.05 Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
And finally, Dettori will ride Epsom Derby runner-up King Of Steel in the 3.45 Champion Stakes, which will be the Italian icon’s final race on British soil.
