Ballon d’Or 2025 winner ‘LEAKED’ just hours before prestigious award ceremony

THE winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or has allegedly been ‘leaked’ ahead of the ceremony tonight.

Some of the world’s best players will arrive in Paris for the annual awards ceremony today.

And while they will not be officially told if they are successful beforehand, they could find out the results through an alleged leak.

French journalist Romain Collet Gaudin has claimed that Ousmane Dembele will take home the top men’s prize for the first time in his career.

It follows a fantastic 2024-25 campaign for the 28-year-old winger.

Dembele scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists for Paris Saint-Germain last season.

He also won the Champions League, Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions.

Most recently, the Frenchman won the UEFA Super Cup with the Parisiens.

Despite the claims from Gaudin, Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre believes that Lamine Yamal will be crowned instead.

He told El Chiringuito: “I think Lamine wins the Ballon d’Or for sure.

“What amazes me is they [Barcelona] haven’t won the Champions League.

“There’s no World Cup either, so logically in France, it should be debated between [Ousmane] Dembele, Vitinha, Achraf [Hakimi]. PSG has already won everything this year.”

Spanish outlet Marca has claimed that no players have been told the result.

The winners of the other awards set to be given out tonight – including the women’s Ballon d’Or, the Kopa Trophy and the Yashin Trophy – have not yet been leaked.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, PSG forward Raphinha and Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe are also considered to be among the top condenders for the men’s award.

For the women’s award, Aitana Bonmati, Alexia Putellas, Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo are the frontrunners.
