BOSSES of Britain’s Got Talent are taking drastic measures to clear up the chaos created by suddenly cancelling the first day of auditions last week.
Simon Cowell was too ill to sit as head judge for recording on day one of the ITV talent contest after suffering a bump to his head in an accident, so it had to be cancelled.

Now producers of the show are trying to add an extra date to auditions next week in Blackpool so that the acts who weren’t seen last Thursday will get their moment on stage.
A TV insider said: “It looks like they will hold the supplementary session on Friday, then continue with the scheduled days of auditions continuing for a further week.
“They feel so bad for all the people left disappointed by what happened last week and want to do what they can to make things right – even though it’s going to take a lot of last minute organising.”
Simon, who turns 66 on Tuesday, was sporting a grazed head when he returned to work on Saturday, having had his seat on the panel filled by old pal Stacey Solomon last Friday.
A source said: “Simon had a terrible headache and migraine – caused by an accidental bump on the head.
“He’s fighting fit now though – and was revelling being in Birmingham and back in his judge seat.”
Posting a Instagram message on Instagram from inside the Hippodrome he seemed in good spirits but didn’t reveal any details as to how and when he had the accident.
He simply said in the Instagram message: “It’s Simon, I’m alive and I’m in Birmingham, I just want to say thank you for all your get well messages.” and he pulled the camera close to the graze on his forehead before smiling.
Bosses at BGT are expected to announce details of the extra date imminently.
