Body found in search for schoolboy, 14, who vanished while playing in river with his big brother

POLICE searching for a teenager who went missing while swimming with friends have said a body has been found by the coastguard.

Daniel Halliday, 14, was swept away by a strong current in the River Mersey despite his older sibling desperately trying to save him.

His family said before he disappeared he had been jumping waves on a beach with his brother.
