On Sunday afternoon the diver got into some difficulty due to reports of a storm and rain at the shipwreck, says Makthes.

He was pulled from the sea by another swimmer and emergency services were called.

Ambulance crew were unable to resuscitate the Brit and he died at the scene, claims SL Press.

The Port Authority of Michaniona is investigating and a postmortem will be carried out.
