CHARLIE Kirk’s accused killer “excitedly” bragged about his long-range shooting skills, a former colleague has revealed.

Tyler Robinson, 22, reportedly told fellow electricians on a Utah job site last year that he had made a 450-yard shot.

A 25-year-old tradesman told The New York Post: “Right after Black Friday, I had just got done working and I was showing my supervisor the new pistol I bought.

“We were out by the trucks, and then Tyler and another guy came over and we were all talking about what kinds of guns we were gonna get or had bought, and they started talking about their longest shots. Tyler said he made a 450 yard shot.”

The coworker added it was “the only time” his coworkers ever saw Robinson engage in a conversation, let alone get “excited” about it.

“That was like the only time we got [Robinson] to conversate with us, when we were talking about guns that day,” the tradesman said.

“He got excited about it — at least, as excited as he can get.

“He never really showed much emotion. He was just kind of, I don’t know, blank? He was just really quiet.”

Robinson worked as a first-year electrician at High Output Electric, wiring a new apartment complex in St George, Utah, through a subcontractor called Wilde Electric.

Company owner Shane Bennett confirmed to the New York Post Robinson was employed until late 2023 but couldn’t recall if “he quit or was let go”.

The chilling brag resurfaced in the coworker’s memory after Robinson was arrested for allegedly firing a single fatal shot at Kirk from atop Utah Valley University’s Losee Center Building — 200 yards from where the MAGA star was addressing a crowd of 3,000.

“I was shocked when I heard the news yesterday — I was like, ‘It can’t be that Tyler,’” the coworker said, recalling how he called around to confirm the suspect’s identity.

“He was the last person I thought would do this.”

He remembered Robinson as avoiding political chatter, saying “he went into the back laundry room and sat on a bucket” when colleagues debated issues.

But the ex-colleague said he noted one unsettling trait, claiming: “Tyler walked around with clenched fists all the time – like, super hard clenched fists…

“Even in the security footage from UVU, you can see he’s got his fists clenched tight.”

Discord taunts & secret life

The suspect also taunted pals online as the FBI manhunt closed in.

According to the New York Times, Robinson joked on Discord that a “doppelganger” was trying to get him in trouble after federal agents released grainy stills of a lanky man in dark clothes.

One friend tagged him with the photos, writing “wya [where you at]” and a skull emoji.

Robinson shamelessly shot back within a minute, insisting the man in the images was a look-alike trying to “get me in trouble.”

He was also allegedly spotted kissing his transgender partner outside their Utah condo just two weeks before the assassination, neighbors told The Sun.

The partner – who is said to be transitioning from male to female – has been cooperating with investigators and reportedly provided text messages that helped track him down.

The communications included discussions of bullet casings marked with meme-style messages and the “need to retrieve a rifle from a drop point,” according to reports.

Robinson had recently moved into a smart new condo with a hot tub, gym and trails, just five miles from his family’s home.

Neighbors described him as “weird,” often dressed in black and wearing a mask.

Robinson, raised Mormon in a Trump-supporting family, was arrested Thursday night near his childhood home in southern Utah.

It comes after Turning Point USA announced Kirk’s funeral will be held September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — home of the NFL’s Cardinals.

The organisation said: “Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend.”

President Trump has vowed to attend.
