According to talkSPORT, the Blades decided to let the Spanish tactician go after losing all six of his matches in charge of the team.
The ex-Southampton boss’ devastating Championship defeats to Bristol City, Birmingham, Swansea, Millwall, Middlesbrough and Ipswich forced Sheffield United chiefs’ hand.
And now the EFL outfit are considering a sensational U-turn just 87 days after hiring Selles.
Sheffield United are reportedly thinking about brining Wilder, 57, back to the dugout.
Selles took over at Bramall Lane after his predecessor failed to return the club to the Premier League.
