COPS have released CCTV in their urgent manhunt for an intruder who attacked a woman as he broke into her flat.
Police responded to frantic calls from a property in New Cavendish Street, Westminster, at around 11.40pm on Wednesday.

The suspect targeted his victim as she stood in the corridor of her apartment building.
He followed the woman to her flat before trying to silence her with his hand over her mouth.
The attacker tried to force his way inside her flat, where the terrified victim’s partner chased him away.
Police have released CCTV images of the suspect and urged anyone with information to come forward.
He is described as white, standing 5ft9 tall and balding.
The man was wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans when the horror took place.
He was later captured on camera wearing a brown hooded jumper.
The victim said he had a non-British accent which could have been Australian, Kiwi or Scandinavian.
Detective Constable Chunjie Zang, from the Met Police said: “This was a highly alarming incident, which has left the victim and her family in distress.
“Nobody should face such a threat in their own home.
“We can confirm that no similar incidents have been reported in the area, but we are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice. Can you help?”
Anyone who has information has been urged to call 101, quoting 8868/JUL.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, to make an anonymous report.
