A HEARTBROKEN mum has paid an emotional tribute to her 16-year-old son who was gunned down in Birmingham.
Diego Henry was brutally shot in Lighthorne Avenue, Ladywood, at around 12.30pm on November 5.

The young teen was raced to the hosptial by emergency services where he sadly lost his life two days later.
Diego’s grief-stricken mother, who has not been named, described her boy as “a pleasant and well-mannered young man, who would easily put a smile on anyone’s face”.
In a statement released by West Midlands Police she said: “Diego will be sadly missed by his mother, father, siblings and exceedingly large circle of family and friends.
“Diego always expressed a passion for music and would be seen singing, dancing or rapping wherever he was.
“The circumstances surrounding Diego’s death is shocking for all, but the family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone for their continuous support, prayers and well wishes.”
West Midlands Police confirmed the force is still investigating the teenagers tragic killing.
Meanwhile, a second body was discovered by a nearby Birmingham canal on November 10.
Officers made the grim discovery of a dead 17-year-old boy and also located a gun.
Cops confirmed a forensic post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday to determine his cause of death.
West Midlands Police are treating this as “linked to the murder of Diego”.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of Diego’s murder and remains on police bail.
Det Supt Shaun Edwards, from our Homicide team, said: “This is a tragic development in our investigation, and our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by the events of the last week.
“Our investigation into what has happened will continue for some time, and we will be supporting the families involved throughout.
“Neighbourhood officers continue to patrol the area to offer reassurance, and I’d encourage anyone with information to get in touch with us.”
