FORMER president Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance are in Grand Rapids, Michigan for their first joint rally since the assassination attempt.

A bullet grazed Trump’s ear while he was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.

Trump appeared at the Republican National Convention the following Monday with a bandage on his ear.

He announced JD Vance as his running mate during the convention and took to the stage on Thursday to address the assassination attempt.

Trump recalled the moment he was hit with a bullet and told the crowd, “If I had not moved my head at that moment, the assassin’s bullet would’ve hit its mark.”

Nearly a week after the assassination attempt, Trump is in Michigan to address his supporters on the campaign trail with Vance.

He ditched his white bandage for the event and opted for a smaller skin-colored bandaid.
