The famous promoter attended the Misfits Boxing action at the AO Arena in Manchester to watch KSI vs Tommy Fury and Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis.

And the 44-year-old confirmed he is planning to bring the big fight between Eubank Jr and Benn to Cardiff in December 23.

Hearn told talkSPORT: “It’s getting closer, December 23rd at Millennium Stadium.

“That’s what we want to do. There’s a lot of interesting conversations going on with various different people.

“We’ve got the opportunity to stage that event internationally, we don’t want to.

“We want to do it in the UK – we’re seeing a lot of fights going to Saudi Arabia, go to Abu Dhabi, go to Vegas; we’ve got the chance to do something special on December 23rd.

“I will do everything I can to see that fight in the UK next.”

However, Benn has not yet been given the green light to box in Britain after failing a drugs test last year, the result of which scrapped his original bout with Eubank Jr.

The Greenwich bruiser was cleared to return to boxing in July by the National Anti-Doping Panel.

However, the British Boxing Board of Control will appeal the decision in the coming weeks as they are yet to restore the 27-year-old’s licence to fight in the UK.

Benn insists he did not deliberately break anti-doping rules before his fight with his fellow Brit.
