FORMER New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been seriously injured in a car wreck, his spokesperson has said.
The 81-year-old was involved in an accident in New Hampshire on Saturday night and has been hospitalized with a fractured vertebrae and other injuries.

“Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident,” said Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security.
“He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.
“The accident occurred after he re-entered his vehicle, which was then hit from behind at high speed.”
As well as injuries to his spine, has several cuts and bruises as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.
Giuliani was transported to a local trauma center and his “business partner and medical provider were promptly contacted and arrived at the hospital to oversee his care,” Ragusa said.
He is in “good spirits and recovering tremendously.”
Donald Trump’s former lawyer will be staying at the hospital in the Manchester area for a few more days and will then have to wear a brace to heal his vertebrae.
His spokesperson has reiterated that the freak accident “was not a targeted attack”, adding that he was in a rented vehicle, not one assigned or connected to him.
“We ask everyone to respect Mayor Giuliani’s privacy and recovery, and refrain from spreading unfounded conspiracy theories,” he added on X.
Giuliani was mayor of New York City between 1994 and 2001.
“He’s a beast. He survived 9/11,” Ragusa said.
Years after serving the Big Apple, he resurfaced on the political scene as a fervent Trump supporter.
He also served at the President’s lawyer and was indicted in August 2023 by the Fulton County District Attorney’s office on charges related to overturning the 2020 Presidential election.
He was accused of racketeering and attempting to convince Georgia lawmakers to send electorates in favor of Trump.
Giuliani turned himself in and was released on bond, set at $150,000.
He had another indictment in Arizona in two months later along with other Trump aides for charges of conspiracy to election fraud.
He was then later back in troubled waters over a bankruptcy case.
