The Melbourne Cup was a star-studded event with Australian singer Delta Goodrem performing.
The nieces of Princess Diana, twin sisters Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer also attended and looked stunning in matching red dresses.
The race was won by third favourite Without A Fight, ridden by jockey Mark Zahra.
Elsewhere the event descended into carnage as boozy punters got a little carried away, with empty bottles of alcohol strewn out across the grounds.
