A TWO-year-old girl travelling in the front seat of a car with her sister to pick up a kitten died when the car crashed.
The tragedy happened when the motor hit a lamppost, triggering airbags which killed her instantly.

Tot Melania was being driven in an Opel Zafira by her mum’s friend to get a cat when tragedy struck.
The car reportedly was driving down a road in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, when it crashed into the streetlight and killed the toddler.
The 27-year-old family friend said seconds before the tragedy the two kids, Melania and her sister Solomiya, 5, had been laughing and eating doughnuts.
But the woman suddenly lost control of the vehicle and hit a streetlight which deployed the airbags that killed the toddler and injured her sister.
The mum wrote on social media saying: “Melania was covered in blood, unconscious, blood was coming from her ear, from her mouth, the whole car was covered in blood.
“Solomiya asked repeatedly: ‘What is wrong with Melania?’”
A report by local police said: “The girl, who was in the front seat, which was not equipped for the transportation of children, died at the scene, and her sister was taken to a medical facility with injuries.”
The parents, who were celebrating the eighth wedding anniversary, arrived before the ambulance did.
Police say the tragic incident happened because the driver had ignored the rule that children under the age of 12 and less than 145 centimetres tall are advised not to travel in the front and especially not to travel without a specially fitted child seat.
They are investigating the crash and are yet to lay charges.
