A HOLIDAYMAKER has died after falling from a hotel window at a seaside resort.

Oliver Collier-Timpson, 25, had been on a getaway in St Ives, Cornwall, with pals in April when he plunged to his death.

The geography teacher dropped 20 feet to a car park below

The sociable geography teacher was enjoying a boozy day out when tragedy struck.

The 6ft4 rugby player, who suffered from a bowel condition, became desperate for the toilet after downing pints with friends.

Making his way to the bathroom at the The Harbour Hotel, Oliver somehow ended up using the loo in a private section, an inquest heard.

Moments later, he opened the facility window and climbed out – sadly dropping 20 feet to a car park below.

Oliver suffered a brain injury and was pronounced dead at a hospital in Plymouth on April 11 this year.

His family, who said his organs were donated to help others, said Oliver was a “larger than life character with an easy going personality”.

Assistant coroner Emma Hillson recorded a misadventure conclusion.

She said Oliver had clearly climbed out of the window but the fall was unintended.
