THIS is the horrifying moment a police officer is dragged beneath a car as it reverses away from him.
West Yorkshire Police said that shortly after 1.15pm today, a Seat Ibiza failed to stop for a roads policing unit in Leeds and was pursued.

It was then “brought to a stop” a few minutes later on Selby Road.
Police said in a statement: “The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and whilst being detained a police officer sustained non life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
“Enquiries remain ongoing which necessitated the road being closed for a short time.
“A second vehicle not involved in the pursuit was also damaged in the incident.”
Footage of the incident, shared on social media, appears to show a baton-wielding officer striking at someone on the passenger side of a dark vehicle.
As the car reverses away, the open passenger-side door seems to drag the officer down to the road.
The dark vehicle continues to reverse for a few seconds and passes over a patch of grass separating two sides of the road.
