WOOBAY 3.30 Ripon, (nap)
Danny Brooke’s mare ran a cracker when beaten less than a length in the jump jockeys’ Nunthorpe at York last time. That came after she won with a bit up her sleeve over this course and distance under today’s 3lb claimer Oisin McSweeney. She takes on her own sex today in a softer contest and should come out on top from a fair handicap mark of 68.
PABLO DEL PUEBLO (3.45 Lingfield, nb)
He relished dropping to this trip when winning from the front on turf here last time out. The handicapper has raised him 5lb for that but rider Christian Howarth gets to use his claim which accounts for most of that. This looks a pretty weak contest and he can blast off and make all for another victory.
KINGS MERCHANT (4.00 Ripon, treble)
He has made a habit out of winning for Ed Bethell. He landed his third victory of the campaign with a battling effort at Doncaster last time. He is right at home over this distance on decent ground and can cope with this slight rise in grade.
