Canelo, 35, told SunSport earlier this year: “They get a little bit nervous, but they like it. They scream, they support me with all they have.
“I think Maria is the one with more nervous on herself because she says that she don’t want somebody to hurt me or something like that.
“And I say, ‘Don’t worry, that’s why I’m here training and do my doing my best here in training camp so that doesn’t happen.’”

Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan, born on July 18, 1990, is a renowned Mexican professional boxer.
His nickname “Canelo” stems from his distinctive physical appearance and is deeply tied to Mexican cultural traditions.
The word “Canelo” is derived from the Spanish word “canela”, meaning cinnamon.

How many children does Canelo Alvarez have?
Canelo has five children with four different mothers.
His eldest, Emily Cinnamon Alvarez, was born to his childhood sweetheart, Karen Beltran, when Canelo was just 17 years old.
At her 15th birthday party, the boxer said: “I have a good girl, I’m proud of her, it’s the only thing I can say.
“Let her fight for her dreams, she already has a goal, she is clear about what she wants, which is her horses and school too, let her keep fighting for what she wants.”
His second daughter, Mia Ener Alvarez, was born in 2014 and is the result of his relationship with model Valeria Quiroz.

When is Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford?
The highly anticipated undisputed super-middleweight showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford is set for Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
Coverage of the super-fight will start at 8.30pm BST (3.30pm ET), with ring walks for the main event expected at around 4am BST on Sunday (Saturday, 11pm ET).
Alvarez defends his WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO super middleweight titles against Crawford, who is moving up in weight.
