ONE hundred firefighters have tackled a raging inferno at a block of flats last night.
Around 150 people were evacuated by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus after the five-storey residential building in Battersea, south-west London, was set ablaze.

Footage shared online showed flames tearing through the roof of the five-storey building.
Firefighters were also seen using a large turntable ladder as a water tower to help tackle the flames from above.
Three people were treated by paramedics at the scene on Maysoule Road.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) said it was called to the block, near the junction of Hope Street and Benham Close, shortly before 7.30pm.
A “significant amount of the building and the roof” of the flats were destroyed in the blaze, London Brigade (LFB) said.
The LFB took dozens of calls about the blaze, after being first alerted shortly after 7pm.
Residents in the area were advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to the smoke, said the London Fire Brigade.
But the blaze was brought under control at around 11pm last night.
Firefighters remained at the scene overnight dampening down the building.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.
An LAS spokesperson said and ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of its Hazardous Area Response Team attended the fire.
