Elle, who works in the veterinary field, is well-placed to suggest furry friends having treated her fair share of dogs.
And the animal whizz shared her doggy wisdom on her TikTok account after users wondered which pups were easily raised.
Her first recommendation was a Havanese, a small cute-looking dog.
Elle said: “They are sweet, they don’t shed, they’re just the best.”
According to Pet MD, Havanese are great dogs for families and attach to humans quickly.
Her next recommendation is the larger Bernese mountain dog which Elle describes as “floofy and goofy, gentle and loveable”.
Pet MD rates the animals as great family pets, but noted they are predisposed to some health issues such as gut, hip and elbow conditions.
Third on the list is the Portuguese water dog, which is known as being spirited, athletic, and intelligent.
Talking about the pup, which is commonly known as a “portie”, Elle said they were “very sweet and smart”.
“They’re very good family dogs,” she added.
Elle’s next recommendation is a springer spaniel.
The TikToker says that the pooches are “trainable, incredibly loyal, and just great dogs – I love them.”
Last but not least, Elle said her number one recommendation was none other but rescue dogs.
She said: “Some of the best dogs on this planet are ones that have been given a second chance at life.
“They love their owners so unconditionally, and I highly, highly recommend you adopt a rescue dog.”
As always, TikTokers were quick to take to the comment section to share their opinions.
One wrote: “Love my rescue doggies. Thanks for putting them on your list!”
Another commented how Havanese dogs were a very special breed.
While a third noted how “all of her dogs” were rescues.
If you’re lacking experience and need a family-friendly pooch to join the ranks, there are plenty of other placid and affectionate breeds to choose from.
And it’s important to always remember that all dogs should be properly trained.
It comes after another dog expert revealed the 10 breeds that have the longest average lifespan.
Meanwhile a vet issued an urgent warning over five popular dog breeds in Britain.
