Indy Nijjar dead: Come Dine With Me star with ‘larger than life’ personality dies aged 50 as fans & friends pay tribute

TRIBUTES have poured in for Indy Nijar following the death of the Come Dine With Me Star.

The popular man from Grimsby has been described as being “larger than life” and a “legend”.

Hundreds of tributes have been paid on social media with the tattoo artist and fitness coach calling him “the biggest sweetheart with the biggest heart”.

Indy, 50, ran the long-standing tattoo parlour Indy N Ink.

He also worked as a fitness coach at the Oasis Health Club gym.

Indy appear in the hit Channel 4 TV show Come Dine With Me in 2011, where he became famed for his personality.

When he appeared on the show, he held a summer-themed dinner party with his guests dressed in swimwear.

On the episode he finished as the runner-up.

Among the tributes paid, people who knew him said they were “devastated” and “heartbroken” by his death.

One friend wrote: “I will miss you my dear friend. Rest easy Indy Nijjar, you [were] larger than life, always on the dance floor, the biggest sweetheart with the biggest heart.”

Another said: “Uplifing soul. A legend. He helped so many people from all walks of life. My deepest condolences to his son, family and all the literally thousands of people who knew him. RIP matey.”

In another tribute, Indy was  described as one of the “strongest men” and an “absolute legend” who would help anyone.

They said: “I can’t believe one of the strongest men I know has been taken from us… this guy would help anyone out and has helped a lot of people with their problems.

“Inspired me as a young kid… when I found out the news this morning it broke my heart, you’re gonna be missed by so many brother.”

Another person wrote: “Hearing the sad news my good friend Indy Nijjar isn’t here anymore has truly broken my heart. He was one of the best people I have ever ever known, he was always there for anyone who needed anything, he was was on the end of the phone anytime I needed.”
