THE influencer and internet personality Rolling Ray has died at the age of 28 – just days before his birthday.
Ray’s death was announced by his mom in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

“It is with a heavy, heavy heart that I let you know that my son Ray Ray (@Iamrollingray) has gone home to be with the Lord,” she wrote in the post.
“I thank everyone who has called or texted.
“This is going to be a long road.”
Ray’s mom shared the post on Facebook among her friends.
Ray, whose real name was Raymond Harper, described himself as “the most famous boy inna wheelchair” on social media.
He was known for his internet skits before later appearing in TV shows such as MTV’s Catfish Trolls, and the LGBT dating show Bobby I Love You, Purrr.
And, he was known for his quips that left fans in hysterics.
Months before his death, Ray was rushed to the hospital as he suffered from ill health.
In May, he was rushed into intensive care as his breathing dropped.
He battled pneumonia and a blood infection.
INFLUENCER’S FEARS
Ray, from Washington DC, admitted he feared he wouldn’t make it to Mother’s Day because he was so ill.
In 2022, the internet star battled Covid and pnuemonia.
In a social media post, he claimed Covid almost took him out.
“My immune system isn’t strong enough to fight it by myself,” he said.
Singer-songwriter Bobby Lytes has led the tributes to the internet personality.
“Damn. I tried to wait this one out, praying it was another rumor,” he wrote on X.
“Rest in Peace to the most famous boy in a wheelchair.
“We came together and showed the world how two different people from 2 separate paths in life can put hate aside and create magic.
“You are loved all over the world, and you will be missed dearly. Spread your wings and fly my iconic friend Rolling Ray.”
Screenwriter Angel Williams described Ray as a “real friend.”
“You was so filled with life. Even when you was sick, you smiled, laughed and joked….. Rest in peace,” she wrote on Facebook.
Williams said she has been left heartbroken by Ray’s death.
George M Johnson Garcon, a New York Times best selling author, said Ray “truly redefined the definition of Purrrr.”
