JOEY ESSEX vowed to knock out his boxing opponent Numeiro – who wore a picture of the TV star on his weigh-in PANTS.

The Only Way is Essex legend steps into the boxing ring for the first time tomorrow night in Manchester at Misfits 22.

Essex voweed to KO opponent Numeiro

Essex looked ripped on the scales just a day before his debut bout while Numeiro attempted one more mind game.

The Portuguese prankster and social media influencer wore a picture of Essex’s face on his briefs as he weighed in.

TOWIE’s Essex laughed off the stunt and said: “What a w****r!”

The 35-year-old makes his anticipated debut for Misfits Boxing – the home of celebrity-style crossover bouts.

He has been trained by his uncle Tony Sims – an esteemed British coach to the likes of Conor Benn and formerly Anthony Joshua.

Essex continued his verbal onslaught telling Numeiro: “Every time you see me in the hotel lobby you say nothing. You’re all talk.

“Watch when I see you in that ring. Stop doing you little Instagram things and all that. We will see. You are a little w****r.”

But Numeiro hit back: “Why are you trying to act tough? You from Love Island, bro. No one takes you seriously.”

Misfits 22 – All the info

MISFITS boxing is back for an absolutely massive card this weekend.

The a huge event comes from the AO Arena in Manchester, with the night starring a mix of UFC legends, Misfits icons – and two TOWIE stars!

Ring of Thrones, as the night has been dubbed, is headlined by a meeting of two former UFC stars in Darren Till and Luke Rockhold.

Former UFC champ Tony Ferguson is also making his debut for the promotion and puts his legacy on the line against Salt Papi, who has impressed in the ring and won his last three fights by TKO.

A packed night sees reality TV star cousins Joey Essex and Demi Sims make their boxing debuts.

Demi’s dad Tony has trained the likes of Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn and is Matchroom Sport’s head coach.

MMA upstart Dillon Danis is also back on the card, as well as Misfits regulars such as Ty Mitchell, Chase DeMoor and Amir Anderson.

Essex got the final say, reciting his full boxing name: “Joey “Don” Essex, you’re about to get ironed out. Watch.”

The event is being headlined by former UFC pair Luke Rockhold, 40, and Darren Till, 32, who collide in a boxing main-event.

TikToker Salt Papi takes on ex-interim UFC champion Tony Ferguson and Dillon Danis returns to MMA to fight influencer Warren Spencer.
