SEAN DYCHE is the bookies’ favourite to become the new Leicester City manager.
SunSport told you that the Foxes hierarchy had made their mind up regarding sacking Ruud van Nistelrooy but were waiting to formally announce it – which they’ve done so this morning.

The delay was down to not wanting to have two managerial pay-offs in the same accounting period.
Leicester are still anxiously waiting on the points penalty they will pick up for past financial offences, while a restricted transfer budget is also likely.
We also told you out-of-work Dyche was lined up as an early frontrunner and that remains the case.
Van Nistelrooy was only in the King Power hot-seat for seven months and only managed four wins in 25 Premier League games and racked up 18 defeats.
As a result, the club finished the season in 18th place – 13 points adrift from 17th-placed Spurs – and were ultimately relegated back to the Championship.
His sacking comes just prior to the squad returning for pre-season on Monday.
Their statement read: “Leicester City Football Club and Ruud van Nistelrooy have mutually agreed that Ruud’s contract with the Club as First Team Manager will terminate with immediate effect.

“Ruud has overseen a challenging period for the Club. From his appointment in November 2024, he approached the role with professionalism, integrity and a clear commitment to our aims, including through the integration of several promising players from the Club’s Academy into our First Team environment.
“Ruud moves on with the respect and thanks of everyone at the Football Club for his dedication and hard work, and with our very best wishes for the future.”
And it looks like Dyche could be the man to replace him, with bookmakers talkSPORT BET pricing him as the 4/7, odds-on favourite.
Dyche has been out of work since he was sacked by Everton in January, lives nearby and has previous with working with a restricted budget.
Danny Rohl finally looks set to leave Sheffield Wednesday and is another name sure to be linked with the vacancy.
He’s the closer challenger to Dyche at 7/4 with a 38.2% win rate at the Owls.
Michael Carrick is an interesting name in the mix having recently left Middlesbrough and he’s 4/1.
It’s then double figure prices the rest, with Gary O’Neil at 10/1 and Liam Rosenior and David Wagner at 12/1.
