Littler had the advantage for much of the first half before Humphries pulled it back to draw 5-5 at the interval.

After the break, the 30-year-old was then able to push on and take the lead.

Cool Hand has now completed the triple crown, made up of the World Championship, World Matchplay and the Premier League.

And he is £275,000 richer having picked up the trophy.

Humphries later told Sky Sports: “Honestly, that one means the world to me. It’s the one I was missing.

“I said in all my pre-match build-up the last few days that it was the one I wanted.

“I’ve done it now. If I don’t win another title I will happy, because I’ve won the three hardest ones now.”
