A MAN who died in a horror M5 crash has been pictured as his heartbroken family pay tribute.

Mihai Florescu, 39, from Plymouth tragically died at the scene of a four-vehicle collision on the motorway in Devon on September 18.

Mihai’s wife, Laura, said: “There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing Mihai Florescu, a loving husband, son, brother and friend who has been taken from us far too soon.

“The world has lost a truly wonderful gentleman and we have lost our world.”

The horror crash involved four vehicles including a Volkswagen Transporter, a Land Rover Discovery, a Kia Creed and Mihai’s car, a Toyota Prius.

The driver of the Transporter, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released while under investigation while enquiries from the police continue.

Four people were rushed to hospital following the crash and caused severe disruption to the M5 which was closed in both directions following the incident.

An air ambulance was scrambled to respond to the crash last month with traffic held to allow it to land on the carriageway.
